The E.Passport and APIT allow a psychologist to practice telepsychology from the psychologist’s home state to any state registered in the PSYPACT compact.

Telehealth is the use of video conferencing technology to provide remote access to mental health sessions over an electronic device such as a computer, tablet, or phone. Telehealth consultation has many potential benefits including easier access to care, and convenience. Most research shows that telehealth is as effective as in-person psychotherapy, but telehealth is not recommended for clients who are currently in a crisis situation requiring high levels of support and intervention.
